60th Anniversary Purcell: Dido & Aeneas Howells: King David Kerry Andrew: Rhymes & Charms for fly-away things 22 June 2013 at 7:30pm |
The Barnes Choir We are an amateur choir which has been performing in South West London since 1952 and continue to put on regular concerts three times a year. Our aim is to perform programmes with a wide variety of works from all periods, from the familiar to the less well-known. Where possible, local artistes have been involved in solo, vocal and instrumental capacities in our concerts, and local composers have featured in our programmes. These are always of a high standard. Our conductor is Andrew Charity until June 2013 and our assistant conductor is Elspeth Wilkes. From September 2013, our new music director will be Julian Collings.
